Why dry needling works so well
Dry needling involves inserting solid, thin needles (as used in acupuncture) into muscle sore spots (knots). It can quickly relieve muscle pain and tension making it highly effective for physical pain. Benefits include:
- Fast pain relief, often in seconds
- Incredibly accurate, making it ideal for hard to treat areas
- Combining with hands-on treatment enhances long-lasting pain relief
- Reduces pain in areas not responding to other treatments
Studies show dry needling provides superior short and long-term pain relief compared to other treatments like massage, stretching, and rolling.
What our clients are saying
Thanks so much for your help. Its so refreshing to find a professional who actually wants to help people and not just take their money.

I had lower back strain, Steve knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. Something a back specialist I went to see in the city couldn’t do, Thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I claim Private Health Rebates?
Yes. If your extras cover includes Myotherapy or Remedial Massage, you can claim a rebate on the spot using our HICAPS system. If you need to claim manually, we can email you an invoice to send to your health fund.
Can you fix me and how long will it take?
Unfortunately, some pain conditions can only be managed. We’ll clearly explain what’s realistic, what may take longer, and what you can expect from your treatment plan.
How long are appointments?
Your first appointment usually runs 45–60 minutes, which includes a full assessment and treatment. Follow-up sessions are typically 30-45 minutes.
How many appointments will I need?
The number of follow up appointments is dependent on the severity of your condition and your response to treatment. On average, we see our patients 3–6 times.
What do I wear?
What to wear
We treat through clothing, so please wear loose, comfortable clothes such as shorts, tracksuit pants, or a t-shirt. Avoid tight clothing like jeans, as it can limit movement.
If dry needling is part of your session, we’ll make sure you’re covered appropriately for comfort and privacy.
Should I book online or call?
Either. You can book online anytime, but if your preferred time isn’t showing, give us a call or send a text – sometimes we can fit you in even if it’s not listed online.
Is dry needling right for you?
Although dry needling offers many benefits, it is not for everyone. People with certain medical conditions, such as bleeding disorders or needle phobia, may not be suitable for needling. For those clients, we provide alternative treatment techniques to ensure effective care.
What can I expect after dry needling?
Some people feel immediate relief or better movement straight after treatment. For others, improvement builds gradually over a few hours or days.
Side effects from dry needling are mild and short-term. You may notice:
- Temporary soreness and bruising where the needle was inserted
- A brief feeling of tiredness or light-headedness
- Mild muscle ache for up to 24–48 hours
These effects usually pass quickly and are part of the body’s normal healing response.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand unforeseen circumstances happen. But, please try to notify us ASAP so we may allocate your slot to other clients in need. The easiest way to cancel your appointment is to send us a text message!
